How to use this
  1. Pick the award and classification that matches the worker.
  2. Choose Permanent/FT or Casual β€” casual automatically adds the 25% loading.
  3. Drag the margin slider to set what Fuse charges on top of cost. A red warning appears if it drops below 20%.
  4. The Charge to client figure is what you'd quote β€” Cost to agency is what it actually costs Fuse to employ them.
  5. Fill in the client name and (optionally) role and weeks to get a full quote you can copy or screenshot.

01Award & classification

Casual workers are paid a 25% loading on top of the base rate instead of getting leave entitlements. If the worker gets sick leave/annual leave, choose Permanent/FT.

02Oncosts & margin

Oncosts are the extra costs Fuse pays on top of a worker's wage β€” super, WorkCover insurance and payroll tax. They're added automatically below; you don't need to enter anything here.
25%
This is what Fuse adds on top of cost as profit. Drag right to charge more, left to charge less. Below 20% you'll get a warning β€” that's usually too thin to cover overheads.
10%60%
⚠ Margin is below 20% minimum β€” this quote may not cover overheads. Review before sending to a client.
Multiplier (for reference) 1.00Γ—
The charge rate as a straight multiple of the base pay rate β€” e.g. "1.5Γ—" means the charge rate is 1.5 times the award rate. This is calculated from the margin above, not something you set directly. A 20% margin and a 20% mark-up (multiplier) aren't the same number, which is why both are shown.

Rates are indicative, based on published FY2026–27 award pay guide summaries as at July 2026. Site, industry, cold work and dangerous goods allowances are not included. Confirm current rates against the official Fair Work pay guide before quoting a client.

How to use this
  1. Use this when you want to check whether a worker is being paid enough β€” for example, a client tells you a casual's hourly rate and you want to make sure it's legal.
  2. Select the award, classification and employment type that matches the worker.
  3. Enter what they're actually being paid per hour, and how many hours the check should cover.
  4. Tap Run test. PASS means the rate is at or above the legal minimum. FAIL means it's below β€” you'll see exactly how much they're being underpaid, in total.

01Worker & award

This changes the legal minimum you're checking against β€” casual workers have a higher minimum (the 25% loading built in) than permanent/full-time.

02Actual pay

Enter the rate the worker is actually being paid (not what you charge the client), and the number of hours you want to check β€” e.g. a week or a full pay cycle.

How to use this
  1. Pick the state β€” payroll tax differs by state, so the calculation changes underneath.
  2. Choose which method to calculate by: $ Margin (you set a flat dollar profit, charge rate is built up from cost) or Multiple (you set a multiple of base pay, margin is whatever's left over).
  3. Yellow fields are editable β€” everything else updates automatically.

01State & method

$ Margin builds the charge rate up from cost plus a flat dollar profit you set. Multiple instead sets the charge rate directly as base pay Γ— a multiple, and margin becomes whatever's left over β€” the two methods usually give slightly different results for the same role.

How to use this
  1. Every time anyone in the team clicks "Check for latest award rates" on the Rate Card tab, a record is added here β€” shared across everyone, not just your own browser.
  2. Each entry shows when the sync ran, how many rates were updated, and whether any awards needed review.
  3. There's no individual login in this tool, so entries show when and what happened, not who ran it.
